Gelatin

Gelatin is a natural protein obtained by hydrolysis of collagen presenting in the animal skins, connective tissue and their bones. Collagen has a lot in common with other food proteins such as casein or ovalbumin. It is low in calories (only 3.7 kcal/g) and completely digested by the body.
